Colored Topic Title Permissions

I think you should be able to set permission for who can set their topic title color. Because the colored titles give kind of an extra importance, my members are using this feature to get more people to view their topic. But I don't want to remove the feature because I like using it. What do you think?

Did you read the topic? I know you can change the topic title. I think I should be able to choose who can do it though.

Seriously, READ THE TOPIC!. It isn't administrators only, and even if it was, my suggestion is that you should be able to set who can change the color of their topics. Is anyone else having a hard time understanding this? And stop trying to moderate.

I have ment to suggest this for a while just kept forgetting We need it !!!!!!

That is exactly my point, they don't have a feature which only lets Moderators or Administrators use the Colored Titles. That's what my suggestion is.

Why would you want color in your topic titles anyway? It'll just make it look more messy in my opinion. Besides, you can have color in you font in the posts anyway.

My point is, What would it achieve? How would it make our forums any better?

I think the colored topic titles give the thread a sort of 'importance', which make more members view it. The 'Sticky' and 'Announcement' features do the same kind of thing, but I think the colored titles stand out a bit more. If I could restrict members from using this feature, I could use it as a tool to get members' attention for important notices. I do, though, understand your point perfectly, and I realize why you think this is a bad idea.

I voted no. If you ask me, this would only led to anarchy on the forum. Because at the end, you would have a page of topics, with green, blue, red, orange title colors and all this colors would only make a mess.

Plus, a LOT of useless topics would be "important" because of the colors - members fail at deciding what is important and what is garbage.

If you read my post you would see that I don't want members to be able to use the color feature. I only want my moderators to be able to use it. I agree with you that if members can use the feature it makes your forum look very sloppy. That is why I suggested this.

That was my complaint, I don't want them to. And again, I would use the sticky's & announcement's, but if they are colored, it gives them an important look.

Doesn't this kind of refer to this whole thread. I believe only staff (or, if this is ever gonna be set up in the new updates, the selected groups) of your forum should moderate the coloring of the topic. So, this goes back to me saying Yes.

I like this and want it Because I would like only my staff to be able to use the topic title colors but at the moment if you allow it then everyone can use them
