Colored Topic Title Permissions

First topic message reminder :

I think you should be able to set permission for who can set their topic title color. Because the colored titles give kind of an extra importance, my members are using this feature to get more people to view their topic. But I don't want to remove the feature because I like using it. What do you think?

Great idea, I was just on my way to post about this!

In the meantime, you can just do what i do - edit anyones post who uses it, and change their title back to the default colour, leaving only your message titles in a different colour. Just an edit reason - Topic colours for admin only". irritating tho.

Mbe an easier option to add would be to not to have topic colour turned off or on, just the bar offering it. So you could still use codes to change font colour in a title. This way most members would never bother to do it, not knowing they could, and the ones who do you could just change it back as per the last idea.

i also dont like it that every member is able to change colors
cause im using colors mainly for stickies and announcements...

it would be nice if we could decide if all members, different mods, admins are able to change those

I agree. I found this topic because being new to the system I was actually looking in the settings to see if this could be done. Couldn't find anything so came over here to ask how it was done.

I see now it can't be done so I voted yes in the hopes that in the future it can be.

This can be done already with a code that is added to your Widgets then you set it to Admin's then it hides it from all other members.

I use it my self on my site.

I am making a tutorial on this now. will update this thread when i have done it and got the staff to test it on all forums.
