PWA App setup information

Description of problem

#1. Under modules> PWA. It gives the option to set up the App. Issue is I cannot find any information about "Manage your digital Links JSON file" what fo I need to do with that and is there anything else I need to do in order to run the App?

#2: Will it function with Duck Duck Go browser's as well?

Yes.

I have also activated the app but don't see where to access it. I just have mobile mode and desktop.

I think the assets have an issue with android devices if iam not mistaken

I tried registering with topic it. It says it's no longer working with Android and iOS at the bottom. I registered, but it won't send me a verification email. So my account is inactive. I saw the topic it link on the log in menu. What's the point if it doesn't work with the two main users of the app? Most people on mobile have either or.

P.S.  The reason why your searches did not work is that our system does not search for any term less then 4 characters long.  The exception to this is if you use hashtags.

Okay. I never tried topic it before it certainly isn't working lol. I thought maybe PWA was a part of it. So how do we get access to the PWA? I cannot find anything to access this app and don't understand the assets section. Is that needed for it to work?

You do not access the app itself.  It is on your forum by default.  What exactly are you trying to do?

The parts you can edit is on that page in the administration panel.

It says it's an app that is downloaded and pushes notifications so that members get them. I thought it would be loaded as such by link?

I have it set up with a photo and the colors, but I don't see anything on the forum other than an existing desktop and mobile. I have a migration coming in and it would help my members.

Each user is free to accept (or refuse) push notifications from your forum or to install its PWA on his mobile devices by accepting/refusing the invitation offered by the forum for this purpose.

If he accepts, he will have an icon on the home screen of his mobile device allowing him to access the forum directly. He will also be notified of his new features according to the notification preferences he has defined in his profile for the ToolBar.

Okay. But what if we didn't see or get it? Or what if they declined and change their mind? How can we get the forum to offer it again?

Since I have not use this feature myself, and I have transferred my forum over to ForumsClub, I will let someone who has used it to help you, sorry.

It's okay. I talked to a friend that helps you guys and he said it's my browser. My members are looking for ways to get it on their browser. Duck Duck Go wasn't giving an inkling.

This has been asked also 4 years ago on reddit, right now there is no ETA for this when it will be added... However you can use this link or on Twitter / X, and ask them if the function of PWA will be added or not.
