Solved Users not Recieving their E-Mails

Post by soals Thu 3 Jan - 23:36

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me.
I made the following forum: http://fledglings.canadian-forum.com/ but no one, including myself, has received their activation e-mail.
I could still log in because I'm the Admin (I think that's why anyways) But so far no one has received their emails, even though they proceeded through the necessary steps of registration.
They cannot retry to register because their email was already 'used', and they do not show up as members on my member list in the admin bar because they cannot activate themselves without the email link.

I'm not sure if this is an error specific to my forum, or if I'm missing something, or what.
Thank you to whomever helps me!

AP>Users and groups>Users options>Members page

Tick "New accounts activation" to "User" and save. This may help.

Thank you for the tip! But when I went there the User selection was already ticked.
I tried automatic to see if that would help instead. Smile Thanks!

Just a note, but on the same page is "Allow new members" set to "Yes"?

What message do they get when they try to log in?

Also check here:
Administration Panel > Users & Groups > Users > Inactive List

Try going to AP>Users & Groups>Users>Inactive Users

see if the new members are in there and activate their membership from there.

Edit: Sorry slGray, I'm a slow typist. lol

It says as I've been told via skype:
[2:06:56 PM] Jess: You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password.

Click here to return to the Index

And that did it I think!
I found them and activated them.

...
ok and they're logging in fine now. Thanks for the help guys!
