password error message trying to create new forum

i am new and every time i try to create a new forum, enter all my info, i receive this error message, "Your password and its checking must be identical...." i have tried several times now. this is my first time creating a forum or using this site, so i am confused as to how to fix this issue ...

Are you sure everything is matched on the fields:
Password:
Confirm Password:
(including the e-mail)
?

Try clearing cache:

Also make sure that you do not accidentally press the caps lock key on your keyword.

the form never offers a confirm password box. in that case i would know the issue, but as you can see from the screenshot, i'm only allowed to enter my password once, yet i keep getting this message. what is it trying to match the password to?
