Do you use the founder account for general posting?
Hi,
I guess I'm starting this thread to find out what everyone generally does. Do you keep the founder account as your account you mainly post on when you've created a forum?
What I mean is, do you personally use the founder account for casual posting?
The reason I'm asking as I'm seeking advice on if I should use the founder account as my main posting account or only for serious maintenance or credits and use another account with regular admin powers for general posting.
In my eyes the only real disadvantage of using the founder account as your main posting account is the transfer of said account in the event you want to leave.
So do you guys generally use the founder account to post or do you leave the founder account and only use it to access special areas?
Like I said I'm wanting advice.

I use the founder account for everything I do on my forum. I do not plan on transferring the account to someone else.

Re: Do you use the founder account for general posting?
mostly i use the founder account for everything, but there have been forums where we used the founder account only for things that can't be done with a normal admin account. personally i like both options, so i don't really have any advice to give you (:

If you're the only admin, I don't see the point not to use it

I use the founder account for everything. I created the forum and I've put all the hard work setting everything out, inviting members, starting topics etc. I'm not going to relinquish all that in a hurry.
Re: Do you use the founder account for general posting?
I use the founder account for everything. There's really no reason not to unless you're trying to play at multiple personas lol.

I've thought of creating another account but I've posted so much with the founder already so I see no reason why I should make another account now.

I don't own a forum anymore, but when I had one, I didn't post with the founder account. I had another account, and I kept the founder account for other stuff.

For my own security reasons, I do not use founder account, just keep posting some updates and notice.
Re: Do you use the founder account for general posting?
I use the founder account for everything. Why create another account? You want the members of your forum to know who the owner of the forum is.

Re: Do you use the founder account for general posting?
Of course, i need to manage the forum with only one account.. If i have an a second, i think it's unnecesary because if an emergency occurs in your forum, you need to logout and login with another account and you will waste a lot of time...
It's only my view of point n.nU

HelloAdministrators,
A very interesting subject matter and illuminating the number of Owners and Staff (3) that have thought to respond.
So might i extend a heartfelt thank you for that, as well as ......
Well I do not as yet know, if your depths extend to a fully cognizant & cognate understanding of the importance of Back doors within any support situation and / but since you have indeed posted here and with such an important subject to both Owners and Viewers, I am assuming that you and those 3 Staff have indeed gone someway down that path.
SO ! based upon that assumption, I furnish mY take on that issue. An issue of such magnitude & cause for so many sorry misunderstandings between Support and support'ee, I feel compelled to take both you and them to the root of a fundamental (so I've been told) English lesson:
mY Objective, mY Problem, mY Issue..... mY responsibility !
Any Failure, if indeed those depths reach 'Cognate', is nigh on always, in and around the use of " Our Objective, Our Problem, Our Issue..... being Our Responsibilities."
I 'in default mode' nigh on always now, hardly ever assume the later, when addressing those that (such as you and staff) have set up... AN OUR... attempt to help internet Dysfunctionals such as I.
As for the issue of multiple approaches to Admin names.
Another fundamental lesson, as I have also indeed been informed, is to use as many points as necessary to VIEW D'nub of most all situations.
So multiple names is and has been FOR LONG now...a recognised and valued method of doing so.
It does get rather messy when having to deal with an OUR situation, still of vital importance and value however AND the reason for mY setting out, with Forum to reconcile and explore... said situation.
Necessitating a very specific, *i* believe, set of support'ees.
BUT~ That is another topic and I see I'm not allowed to start a new topic here. So might *wE* start there.
regards

Re: Do you use the founder account for general posting?
Hello,
For that reason, the first thing i didi after creating my forum was to create my own admin account. If i want to leave administration but stay as member, i can give away the founder's account.

Instant Response wants ' IT-seems ' mY constant sidekick and *i* to ask if you're for real Sir.
BUT~ OH ! my other sidekick says remember * Your Objective, Your responsibility. *
SO~
Is there anyone who actually thinks this topic has a definitive... answer ?
IF NOT~ How could someone as intelligent as THE FOUNDER of what would take both a high level of coding skills but also a high and dedicated interest in service... post such a subject ?
For a laugh, in the Discussion section, possibly
For research also possible
BUT~ Since you are a Admin sort yourself...why don't you ask him ?
I know HE and It (subject) tickled my gray cells....
Regards
io RE-search
OH ! And yes I know HE did not post this, BUT *HE* employed you did he not ?

This is just a general discussion topic. It is not to get information about founders.

Re: Do you use the founder account for general posting?
I ended up with my forum when the founder moved away. it was transferred to me and I use it only for things that need to have the founder respond. The original owner of the site posted a lot of stuff that was just their way of doing it. I wanted the site to reflect my views and it does now. The original founder had even contemplated going over to having a private page on Facebook, something myself and the other admins felt was a retrograde step
