First topic message reminder :
How many are taking the free Windows 10 upgrade that is being offered to certain Windows 7 and 8/8.1 users?
I went ahead an reserved my copy. I hope there is not any major issues when it downloads and installs.

I think it's possibly Microsoft's way of eliminating pirated copies of the OS. Another reason MS is currently offering Windows 10 OS for Free.
Go for it. The free MS Win 10 install with electronic license will expire late this spring when the final release comes out. If you download the Windows 10 ISO image and burn it to a CD, MS will allow it to be installed on up to 5 computers. I have installed it on 3 PC's. I think Win 10 is a huge improvement over Win 7 Pro.

Sorry for off-top, I heard, that in the new Windows 10, will be another powerpoint templates. Is it true? Because I need standard templates something like in office 2010, because all my tasks I must do with the same templates. I heard this link will be new Templates, is it true?

Hello, from what I grasp, the are enhancing and add new features that cater to the Windows 10 OS, which will be able to work across multiple Windows platform and devices. It kind of reminds me of how Google does there "Slides" (which is pretty much like MS Power Point). The basic features and templates I would imagine, would still be provided. I can't see why they would remove standard templates.
Just a reminder, today is the last day to upgrade for free and then on August 2, it will be the update for Windows 10 Anniversary, please reference link for some additional features being included with the Windows 10 Anniversary update. Re: Free Windows 10 Upgrade
The free upgrade is now over and now you have to pay for it unless you did what i Did and backed up the Windows 10 to a CD then put your computer back to the old one until your happy to move over then you have a free copy of windows 10 to use when ever you want to and the good thing is you can add it to all your laptops and computers with no problem if you make a 2nd copy
Re: Free Windows 10 Upgrade
@Ape We think alike. I saved the Windows 10 download on a USB port and now I can download it anytime I would like.
Re: Free Windows 10 Upgrade
yeah i also added a new dvd so if it was to go on some other laptop its fine
when Microsoft asked for you to update it with windows 10 it asked you if you wanted to install it no this laptop or some other one well the good thing is it makes a copy of the windows 10 and it don't take the licence number so when you update any laptop off of the CD it then asks you to enter the licence number of your laptop when installing it so now i have a full Windows 10 cd and it cost nothing to make

win8
I use win8 and it works so well with no bug and risk. And I choose the most simplest win8 system the "pure version of win8" it works so fast. Also I set a strong password which is provide by Windows Password Manager and I don`t need to worry about my password lost because it will recover for me
