Email notification of new users
Hello
When a new user registers I receive an email notification that says
1.
The last several days I am receiving that email notice above, followed by this.
2.
If an account has been deleted it says this which is correct and has always been this way.
Why am I getting #2, the second email?
Thanks

Re: Email notification of new users
Are you receiving the second email at the same time as the first one?

Re: Email notification of new users
Yes, the first and second email arrive at the same time. This is for the same user. One says New user Account, the other New user Registration.
ETA: I just discovered something else. I clicked where it says click here in the strange email, and it brought me to this.
It appears we have to click the link to activate the account for the user???

Re: Email notification of new users
Hello,
I think it may have sent you a copy of the email it sends the user to activate the account. Do you have it set for users to activate the account, or maybe even Admin activation?
The 'Click here' link you describe seems to take you to your forum where you are greeted by your own welcome message.

Re: Email notification of new users
I have not changed any settings. Where do I check to ensure users activate their own accounts?
ACP - Messages and Emails - Emails and contact forms - yes to all four options. Is there somewhere else?
It looks like it's the email sent to users. The log in notice would be what they would receive when they click the link. I have clicked several of them this morning and get the message the account is now active with the log in screen.

Re: Email notification of new users
Well that was checked off as Admin. ? I've never changed that. Strange.
I will hold off as topic solved until I get another new user, just to be sure.
TY!

Re: Email notification of new users
Topic is now solved. It appears Admin being checked off for verification was the problem.
Thanks for the help everyone.
