help on forum please shut down for a couple hours

Ok if say i wanted to take forum off line for a night to do some thing and than put it back on how do i do.So how can i take my forum if i wanted to off line how..I don't want to delete like i want work on it or some thing so can i with out takein down permently..

Go to Generals < Configuration < Put the forum on construction: Yes and choose a set amount of days < Put the forum on holiday: Yes < Save.

That way, you can test things on your forum without having people bug you .
