Banned Users Question

Is there a way I can add the ability to have users who become banned to display an icon or tag on their profile/posts so users can see a user has become banned?

I know you can create a "Special Rank" and name it Banned and then add them to that. However is there a way you can make them automatically added to the group when they become banned.

There is not a default way.

Are there any forms of Scripting that would make it possible?
