Domain Removal
I am the founder of a forum: http://fandomtopia.forumotion.com/
The original domain url is bearvilleboulevard.com and as the forum isn't bearville based anymore I wanted to remove it so that the forum is just the Fandomtopia link and then I can buy the .com url with FT's name. I was told through the admin panel at some point that I had to go here to get it removed. When the BVB domain is removed, the forum will only have the FT link correct?

Re: Domain Removal
Where was the domain name purchased? Also when does it expire?

Re: Domain Removal
The domain was purchased through the forum, the admin panel, I suppose. It expires in 47 days.
Re: Domain Removal
You will need to send this information in a PM to a staff member:
A domain name transfer or deletion induces:
- Code:
[b]Foundation Email[/b]:
[b]Name[/b]:
[b]First Name[/b]:
[b]Address[/b]:
[b]Post Code[/b]:
[b]City[/b]:
[b]Country[/b]:
[b]Phone[/b]:
[b]Email[/b]:
A domain name transfer or deletion induces:
- A loss of all email boxes created via the domain & all the content.
- A loss of traffic because the domain name will no longer redirect to the forum.
- A loss of any SEO search engine performed on the deleted domain.

Re: Domain Removal
Okay thank you! But question why is address, post code, etc. necessary for the form as I don't feel comfortable doing that?
Re: Domain Removal
The reason we ask for your Address and so on is down to we need to make sure it was you that paid for the domain address.
If the data is not right in any way we will not delete the address.
You would only PM the staff members and none of that data will be saved it is just so we can fill in a form on our tools then the data is used to clear the address our end.
So without this data we will not delete your domain.
You can only send this info to the following staff members SLGray Derri APE Luffy Brandon_g

Re: Domain Removal
I spoke to the previous founder as she gave me the forum. She said that she wasn't the one that bought it, but someone else did. The member that bought the forum also ended up deleting her account on the forum. Is it still possible to do this or not?
Re: Domain Removal
You need to contact the one who purchased the domain name so you can get the information.

Re: Domain Removal
I don't think I can contact her at all as she's long gone. That's the problem. I guess I can't do it at all then.
Re: Domain Removal
Sadly without that info we can not delete the Domain address you will have to hold on until the address runs out then try and buy the new one.
Re: Domain Removal
May we consider this solved?
