Hello,

All it does is change the backend coding of your forum to utf-8. You won't notice much a difference personally, it is simply a background thing done by our techs.

Hi @George20,

The Godfather wrote:UTF-8 is a character encoding designed to encode all the characters of a web page in an international standard fully compatible with the Unicode standard. It avoids a lot of compatibility issues such as badly displayed characters, squares, question marks or strange characters instead of accents or special characters in your forum pages.

(...)

We strongly recommend all Forumotion forum administrators to switch their forums to UTF-8 in order to make them compatible with our new development standards and avoid any compatibility or encoding problems.
