Paying for andvance mode.

Hello Everyone

I've hit a problem, I purchased 1500 credits to give my foum a personal look (like I use to do 10 years ago), but now i see you have to be in an advance mode to be able to use the credits, but I tried to use my paypal account for this method but it's only showing my bank account method to be used in paypal, is there a way to get round this problem.

Can I ask are you trying to buy the yearly package or are you trying to pay monthly ?

If you are trying to pay monthly then sadly you can only do it with paypal and no other way as this will need a payment every month and it is the only way to have a payment plan for us right now.

I tried to purchase a yearly subscription but when it opened up my paypal account it would only let me use my bank account, despite my paypal account being my preferred option.

So I remembered about years ago when you purchased credits to upgrade so I purchased credits through my paypal account but when I tried to upgrade I still get the purchase method coming up, I know you have to use this method at first but I don't like using my bank to do this.

Okay I get you now

you should still have the right to buy your credits to buy your advanced package you need to go to buy credits now

ACP >> Misc tab >> Credits management >> Buy credits >> paypal button

you will need to buy at least 5260 credits then your tools on your ACP will let you buy the package.

Please note that if you want to remove ad's you will need to make the tools as so before you buy the package.

If you want a domain name for one year then you will have to pay more for the domain name. domain name is 1200 credits more.

If what i have told you still has a problem then please take a screen shot of the screen you get and send it to me by PM linking this thread and i will take a look for you.

Not sure this will work, I've 1500 credits already purchased so I tried your method to purchase 1 month "Premium" Package (600 credits amonth) but it still only lets me use the "Subscription via PayPal" method.

Right now you can only buy a yearly package with credits. A montly package can ONLY be purchased through subscription with paypal.

Thanks, so if I purchase a years worth the credits with Disabling ads everyone (Premium) 7660 credits / year I could be able to complete the upgarde method from within my administration panel.

At the moment my Forumotion Packages window is showing "You have currently 1500 credits. Buy credits" when it changes to "You have currently 9000 credits. Buy credits" after purchasing extra credits from my paypal account will I be able to complete the upgrade without having to use the "Subscription via PayPal" method.

In other words a new box will appear giving me the "buy a yearly package with credits" options.

Sorry for the trouble but I don't like the "Bank" option only method paypal is offering.

Thanks we have lift off, I've been trying to use that method from the start but each time it would only let me use the bank option (don't know if its a bug or not) but this time it let me into my paypal account option to buy the credits.

Unfortunately, the packages are only purchased per year. This means you have to purchase one page at a time. I am not sure whether you can do this twice a day, but there is not an option where you can purchase a package for 2 years or so.

So, in other words, you can purchase a package now, complete the transaction, and then purchase an other one. This will be added to your account and once the forum package has expired the other one will begin.

I would just wait and purchase it near the date of expiration.

just to clear things up for you to use credits you must have the total number of credits on your forum before you can by a yearly subscription you told me you have 1500 already I then pointed out you needed a total of 5260 credits to pay for your upgrade to the package,

For you to have got the credits you would have to buy more credits before you can upgrade to the Advanced package.

The steps I gave you would have took you to the buy credits page you would have just needed to click the paypal button

your credits would have been found here.


as you only had 1500 credits you never had the right number of credits to pay for the package that's why it moved you to the page you was seeing.


Answer your question No you can not pay for more then one year at a time sorry you will need to update the package every year on the due date.

You can buy the credits ready for next year or even the year after but you may have to do it in 2 or 3 parts.
