Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
You can only use a domain name in advanced or premium package.

Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
This external domain is working but its redirecting to the forum domain.
Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
Exactly, if you want the free url to redirect to the domain name instead, you need to have either the advanced or premium package with us. Otherwise it will just redirect to your free url and thats it.

To add an external domain name or one through Forumotion, you have to have either an advanced package or a premium package.

Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
I just purchased the Advanced package but its still redirecting to the free Domain URL.
Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
It will still do that you have to give it time we always say 24 to 48hrs. If after that 48hrs you still have a problem then you can ask us to look in to it again.
My advice is to remove it fro your ACP and then re add it then that will speed things up.
But remember you will have to buy a package from us every year at the same time making sure it don't run out.

Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
Does it mean that if the Advance Package expire the External URL will still redirect to the free URL?
Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
As soon as your package runs out this time next year your address will go back to your free domain like it has now.
You will need to always have one of our paid packages or it will go back to your default address.
To stop the package from running out you will be told by your ACP it's about to run out then you can pay for it to be upgraded. you should never let it run out if you want your own domain name.

Just waiting for it to go stop the redirection now.
Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
Did you try and turn the domain off then back on again in your ACP ?
if no then give that a try.

Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
Is okay now, but please how can i transfer my domain to Forumotion?
Re: External Domain Redirecting Problem
Sorry but you can not transfer the domain to us as we have no power over the domain you got from your host.Snows wrote:Is okay now, but please how can i transfer my domain to Forumotion?
you should have got the domain name from us to begin with.
As your problem with the domain name is now fixed can i close this topic ?
If yes please press the Green mark solved button found at the top of this topic.
