Description of problem
I have everything the thread says I need to recover the account, but this forum isn't letting me PM any of the mods or admins so that I can go through the steps that it says. The site has gone without an owner for quite a while so I'm hoping to get this resolved as soon as possible.Re: Owner Account Recovery

Re: Owner Account Recovery
This is morally wrong. Someone made the forum and now you come and liiterally want to take control of it. It looks like they even bought a domain. Guess If I'll ever leave my forum I'll just delete every user.

we have a specific procedure and specific rules for this
Re: Owner Account Recovery
@skouliki, I'm familiar with that procedure. It just doesn't seem right to me

Re: Owner Account Recovery
Its supposed to help prevent forums from going dead, as there are some things only the founder has access to, that without such, an admin might have trouble managing the site. That is the purpose of it in a nutshell.
I have heard of cases where the founder has been gone for over 5 years and there is 1 admin keeping the site going, in cases like that a founder transfer is more then justified.

I knew the owner in real life. He was my boyfriend and he passed away. For obvious reasons, I don't have access to every single one of his passwords. Thank you for your unsolicited opinion, though.
@skouliki from what I understand, SLGray has sent in the request. It's been a week already, though, so if I could get an update on how it's going, that would be great.
