Domain renewed, but the site is still down
Hey, Guys,
I paid for my forum's domain renewal a week ago, and for some reason that forum has not been renewed, and my site is down. How long is this going to take? I've never ever known of it to take this long. I'd appreciate someone looking into this so that we can get it back up again, please?
The site is: www.pottersarmy.net
Tks!
K.

Re: Domain renewed, but the site is still down
I changed the forum name, but i still need an answer to the question. When will my site be back up and running?
Re: Domain renewed, but the site is still down
hello
your forum url is this https://pottersarmy.forumotion.com/
You have to have the advanced or premium package to use a domain name
Did you get this domain name through Forumotion or did you get it from a third party company?

We got this name through forumotion, and we've had this site for over 11 years. Our members have always reached the site using the address i listed above. The pottersarmy.net address had worked for us for years. I'm not sure why this is a snag now.

If you have a domain name and no package then your domain name will not work, Now if you renew to one of our packages then yes your domain name will become live again.

Re: Domain renewed, but the site is still down
I bought an advanced package on April 1st and paid for it with my debit card, and believe me, the money was taken out of that account immediately. I have it documented on my bank statement for the amount of credits required for the advanced package. This was paid for a week ago. I've been paying for the domain name for this site for years, and I realize that it requires at least an advanced package, so that is precisely what I bought.

Hello ^^
The domain name expired on april 1ST and you waited till april 1ST to renew the package, though you could have done it since the beginning of february ? You waited domain got expired to do something ?
Just for info we are locked down (french users and head office of Forumotion) since march 17th and i wont bet a penny your problem is not related with that lockdown.

Re: Domain renewed, but the site is still down
As a follow up, i did try to change the site to the domain name, and it won't let me into the site at all now. I can't get in using either the www.pottersarmy.forumotion.com address or the www.pottersarmy.net address. I get an error message that says:
Corrupted Content Error
The site at https://www.pottersarmy.net/ has experienced a network protocol violation that cannot be repaired.
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
Can you help, please?

WHen you have the SSL certificate activated, you can not change the forum's link.
The topic was posted in the wrong section, so I have moved it to the correct section.
