User variables
hi all,
Hoping this is the right place to post and ask if this is possible..
Need a way to get access to the user variables of the currently logged on user (many but specifically their email address on profile and a custom variable defined that they populate on rego) and be able to use them to call to a another web page passing them in as parameters so we can pre-populate the fields on that page. [hope that makes sense! ]
How can i do that ?

Re: User variables
If I understand what you want, I believe it is not possible on Forumotion. Also your members would not like someone collecting their information for another site.
Wait a minute! Are you trying to embedded your forum into another site, and you want a way for them to login or register on that site?

Re: User variables
its adding additional functionality into the forum site... (stuff we cannot do native) so its just to provide a seamless integration and it does not even look like they have left the forum site.. so if we can pre-populate them they can not have to re-enter info we have...!
found this https://help.forumotion.com/t48637-list-of-variables and hoped it could be extended to cover other scenarios!?

Re: User variables
Hello @centenarypark
Thank you for asking your question about variables, our variables are made to work in our site only and not others they are installed on our servers, Now sadly we can't make a new code that will link you to some other site outside of our platform seamlessly the only way to add your site to a host outside is to use the following system.

Re: User variables
Thanks
It not really hosting on the forummotion platform - its just a html page within an iframe in a forummotion page so it looks like it is all integrated but being able to have the html page called with parameters with the values needed was the ask as that would solve it and allow the integration needed.

Re: User variables
Dear @centenarypark,
sadly that is not possible, especially for security reasons as we were also discussing with another user, in another topic on this support forum
The only variables available are the ones in javascript, generated if you enable the toolbar, and the ones you already found and mentioned in a previous post - but which will work only on the forum itself.
Sadly, there isn't an option to integrate variables in the way you need i'm afraid
