Image Uploaders

Hello

I know that Forumotion uses Servimg.com Free image hosting service.

However I have found out that Image Bam and its sister uploader ImgBox will be shut down by Jun 30th 2017, going the same way as Some Image in December 2016.
I have also found today that Upix.me has closed as well.

There are a lot of people using these uploaders and like myself will lose years of images that they have compiled on their forums.

My question is will Servimg.com close like the above I have mentioned Will Forumotion try a back up image uploaders

your images will be saved forever in servimg unless your images are breaking the TOS (they will be removed without warning) or you delete them yourself

This doesn't really answer the question Even if people upload images without breaking Terms of Service will not stop an image uploader from closing down, as most are using adverts to keep them running.

the only safe place to keep your images is your personal files 
as far as i know servimg is a service  connecting with forumotion so i don't believe will ever close

I Think i can help you here.

forumotion.com Don't own servimg we only host from them we do know there is no plans to close servimg at all as we pay them to use there servers they are not free to us as we host a lot of things with them.

I really can not see servimg going down and closing any time soon.

If they was to close will will get news to you and all our members as soon as we can but Please try not to worry.

When these two close I would of lost over 100,000 screen caps from 2010 to last December 2016, that will be four image uploaders closed with Upix.me and Some Image.

just looked it over from my office and found if you do some digging they are both the same host they just have different names

I know that Image Bam and ImgBox are the same hosts, however what about Upix.me and also Hotflick and Post Image

As far as I am aware they are separate

Just looked this up and no they are not the same host as the others,
but they can still be linked in some way

I know that tinypic and photobuket is linked they use the same IBM data center 
so this may be the case with all you have listed, If the cost of that is going up and they don't have the money then that's why they have to close down.

I can't say for sure this is the case but it's got to be something like that.

Like Ape said there is no plans for servimg to shut down anytime soon as far as we know. If you want to be safe side try uploading images to various different major image hosting sites such as Photobucket, Flickr, etc . Aside from that the only other to be 100% sure you never lose the inages is back them up on a flash drive or external hard drive along with all the image hosts. This way even if all the image hosts you have the images uploaded on somehow go down or get shut down, you will still have the files backed up to your device and can simply re upload them on a different image host.
