[ONLY TOPIC] Maintence page?!?

First topic message reminder :

Hello,

So today I tried to login into my forum under the founder account and recieved notification of maintence by forumotion. It took me like 30 tries and refreshes to even login, I also tried logging into a regular account on my forum and my account on the support forum.

Is forumotion running maintence right now?

How can we tell if we are recieving the maintenance page due to that problem with the system or whatever it is and the times we recieve it when there is no maintenance happening? Sometimes we get it during the weekend on Saturday or Sunday, now I know you and the Tech's are off on the weekend's except for emergencies. I guess I my question is how can we tell when we get the maintenance page at times it should not come up (like on weeked's or after hours when it is unlikely there will be work going on)? If I understand right (and I think I may vaguely) there is an issue that occurs sometimes during the week which causes forums to get the maintenance page even when there is no maintenance occuring (I believe it is a tech issue??) right? So how can we tell as admins when we our forums getting the maintenance page from the tech issue and when we are getting it from you guys because you are genuinely performing maintenance.

I just wanted to know or understand this better so I know when I should raise the red flag and report it or confirm reports from my staff and members and pass it on to you and when not to. Will you guys inform us whenever it happening due to genuine maintenance? If so all other times (like on weekends) I report it right?

I have several members that claim the page width keeps changing everytime they refresh the page. The width goes so wide off the screen and other times it's a small box in the middle of the screen.

Is this a result of maintenance as well?

Today happening something strange as I watched. Sometimes the forum pages contents are displaying mixed with maintenance page contents like this picture:

I have been had that happening from day 1. It is what is happening today. Then the text on the links on the forum go green when it happens.

My forum changed colour today but only a couple of times and only for a few seconds

A refresh usually fixes this... atleast on my forum and the support forum.

Yeah the problem with the maintenance page seems worse today then it has been since it started.

Hope the techs figure it out soon.

I just want to add that my forum's been experiencing some strange intermittent blips: e.g. font sizes huge but then back to normal when page is refreshed.

Also, 2 other strange things have just recently started to happen:

1. Graphics - I already have a ServImg account but when I uploaded an image in a post to my forum today, (from my usual profile) ServImg automatically created a new image hosting account, instead of adding the image to my existing account.

2. Notifications - I am receiving multiple notifications.  E.g. today I received one private message but 3 identical notifications were emailed to me for that one message.

No doubt this is attributed to the ongoing server issue?

I'm not getting notifications of new posts, I had this issue before but its been resolved until today.

Yes this problem has also been reported and is directly linked to maintenance.
However, for the duplicate notifications please open a new topic with all information you can (screenshot, type of notification received many times, url of the forum, does it happen only to you or other members...)

I am also getting a problem here on the support forum about notification's i come online today and had 100 but they was almost all a copy of the same ones from just 2 threads

@APE do you mean you receive notification twice for the same watched topic?

Yes like this post when you tagged me in the post I got 2 saying you tagged me and then 2 saying you posted in the thread when I first logged on I had 100 in my inbox Notifications but there was only really 25 so all of them had been copied 3 times to make it 100 I was like Wow I'm not watching that many topic's

I am still getting notifications randomly? ie sometimes I get them and other times I don't even though all my setting are correct.

Hi Buttercup.  The graphics issue is sorted thanks - it was because I have changed my email address, so ServImg automatically set up a new account for that email - no problem.

Re the Notifications issue - yes, it's the same as APE.  I am getting multiple notifications for the same topics, multiple notifications for the same PM, etc, etc.

My problem looks to be fixed or well at least it is now only giving me the right number of Notifications

Not really sure what was going on there but i have 2 from this thread and that is right so I am Happy to think this was fixed my end for me
