[Only Topic]URGENT: Forum Not Opening / Loading

I have a weather forum. A big snowstorm is set to hit the area this Sunday. I have close to 1,000 members. If this isn't fixed I am leaving Forumotion and moving to a new platform. This keeps happening for mobile and tablet users.

Even on tablet using Chrome the pages are very slow to load. Clicking into a thread could take several minutes to load. It either doesn't work at all or its very slow. This has happened a lot lately and it's frustrating my user base. Mobile doesn't work at all according to most members.

Have you asked your members if other forums hosted by Forumotion load fine? Also could you explain in detail the issues they are having?

Can you give me links of other forumotion sites? The issues are when they go to my URL the site does not load. It's a white screen with the address bar at the top showing the URL. And for those who are able to get on, every time they click into a thread it takes several minutes to load.

See I'm on my tablet now and this site is very fast. But if I switch to my site it becomes very slow. So it doesn't seem like a Forumotion issue, just something with my site.

I had a mobile pagination Javascript. I just deleted it and it seems to be working now! Let me see if other members have an issue still

I figured out the problem. Awhile back I added this Mobile Pagination Javascript because members were complaining they can not go to the last post of a topic. I deleted this Javascript and my forum started working again on Mobile. When I added it back on, the mobile version went back to not loading. Here is the Javascript:

One of two things needs to happen:

1. This Javascript needs to be updated

2. I need to find another way for users to go to the first and last posts of a thread without having to arrow through page by page

^^ I tested the pagination on your forum and it appears to be loading just fine. Which device(s) are you using to browse the forum ?

My friend is using an Iphone 6 on Chrome and I use a Samsung Galaxy S6. I deleted the JavaScript again and it seems to be working.......

My friend just sent me a text he can log on OK through Internet Explorer but not on Chrome. He is using his work computer. Just loading the website is much faster without the pagination. It's not a specific thread but the website in general.

The slowdowns happen outside of threads too ? If that's the case then the pagination shouldn't be the problem because it's only for the topics. To be honest, I think it might be on Forumotion's end, because my forum has been loading slow on and off for most of the evening. scratch

Not good

You're right it's not pagination because I'm on my tablet now and it's VERY slow, using Chrome. Horrible. I may have to look into alternatives

No matter where go, there always be server issues at sone point. The internet is not a perfect science unfornatelly, things can break, not work right or slow down. Things happen, we will get this sorted out dont worry. Alteast the servers are stable and not crashing every 5 seconds, now that would be bad. Maybe it is just a heavy traffic day, who knows?

Anyway, all forums are loading perfectly normal for me from my andriod phone, I tested your site as well and it seems to be loading normal speed.

Are you and your users using data to browse or regular wifi? If data, maybe your in weak spots which is slowing it down? I dont know, it seems weird, I just havent noticed any issues today Neutral

Exactly I encountered some weird issues about an hour ago. My administration panel was having loading problems. Sometimes I would get a white page with black dots/spots at the top of the page and once a page that had a yellow area on the left side and no information.

If it's still occurring, yes. However, it hasn't been too bad on my end today, so perhaps they've already resolved the slowdowns. I can't speak for everyone else though.

i dont understand then i have cleared cookies , reset modem and still times out

I am also having the same problem using Chrome. The page loads fine on other browsers but not with chrome, which is my browser of choice. I have tried clearing cookies and the cache.

Is anyone else sitll having any issues loading your sites? If so, is it only with chrome that it happens?

We just need to understand completely what it is that is happening and then figure out 100% whether or not its on our end or not before we report it to the pro staff, as they are very busy and we need to completely sure all issues are 100% our end before making any report.

If you still have issue, please be sure to first try clearing your browser cache and cookies on every browser with a problem and/or also clear the forum cookies. You should also try restarting your computer or mobile device and try going on the forum again to see if it has improved.

Users complain of slow load up speeds, dial up slow. (Forum Wide), when posting Chrome times out and asks to Kill Page/Wait, when someone else posts asks if they want to save it and then times out.

Browser(s) the problem is occuring on ( Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer, etc):
Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer reported problems.

The date and Time you last experienced the issue:
21/03/2016 - 12:12pm AEST (+10 GMT) That is about an hour before this post.
