ads cover login
Technical Details
Forum version : #phpBB2
Position : Founder
Concerned browser(s) : Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome
Who the problem concerns : A few members
When the problem appeared : over the last few days
Forum link : http://www.pottersarmy.net
Description of problem
Hi!Hey, we've bought the "ad free for members" feature, but our members need to log in first before the ads are eliminated. The price for cost free for members and guests is, at least for now, a bit cost prohibitive for us. However, over the last few days, we've gotten members who have reported problems with ads covering the login and making it impossible for them to log in. Sometimes it is relieved by multiple refreshes, but I had the same issue myself one day last week where an ad that looked like it was at least 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 square was covering the log in. Is there a way to make sure the ads are banner size that actually fit the boards so members/guests can log in? Thanks!
Re: ads cover login

Hello,
I need a few information to get rid of this problem.
First : your location (country)
Then I'll need the link of the banner don't click on it, smply do a right click and copy the link and finally i will nee the code again right click beside the banner and inspect the element, now copy the highlighted code and paste it here. Also I need to know if it happens on the mobile version or deskstop.

Re: ads cover login
It happened to me once on my laptop, and i was using firefox as a browser. however most of our users are getting it with the mobile version. Some were iphones. I don't know if any were androids. I can't check it on mine b/c when i bring up my forum on my phone, its unreadable. All the text is completely flush right with words going downward, in one vertical column, so i've given up using the mobile version.

Re: ads cover login
I'm going through the dame problem on my forum as well, in Safari. I can't see the advert on Firefox as yet, but I should imagine that it may well appear in time. I realise that this topic is being moved, but does anyone know of a solution yet, please?
Here is a link to my forum: http://buildingbonds.forumotion.co.uk/forum.

Re: ads cover login
I am in the United Kingdom.
The banner address is: https://duzt6rhr7wo8p.cloudfront.net/67703/64437
The code in the Inspect Element section:
I hope this is the right information that you need. I have only been able to try on Safari, but the way the advert is spread across sounds exactly like the others described in this topic, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's affects mobiles as well.

I can't give the information requested. It is one of my members who is having the issue and I can't get in contact with her.
She can't log on so managed to PM me as a guest but I can't message her back
What should I do?
Edit.
I have managed to get this information. Is this what you are looking for?

Re: ads cover login
The only thing that I can suggest to people until this is fixed is to download another browser such as Firefox, etc. and install an Ad Block on it. Then the ads don't show up and people can log in.
Re: ads cover login
Hi Team,
Our site (www.hifi4sale.net) also has the same issue. Received complaints from a few users with the ads blocking the login fields.
The example above impacts iOS mobile users. Our site is programmed to turn off the mobile site (which has different considerations to go with it).
It probably has to do with the Google responsive ad format that automatically adapts the width and serves a more square ad, affecting the padding below.
Many thanks,
