Did you purchase the domain name through Forumotion?

After you bought the SSL certificate, did you set the options you get?

Re: Purchased SSL Certif but still shows as unsecure
I am sorry, I just saw this message on my SSL page ---
Your SSL certificate is being installed...
As soon as it is configured on your custom domain name (in a delay of about 4 workdays), you will have access below to your forum HTTPS protocol configuration options.
I guess I have to wait a few days and then go from there. My apologies.

Yes it can take up to 4 days to get added to your forum as it has lots of codes and items to change and sometimes our head office has to do some work our end if not done right but it should be done sometime in the week as our head office s closed for the weekends.
We are sorry for the delay in getting this set up for you.
Kind regards.

I have my certificate now. Thank you. I do have an issue with pictures not showing on any of the posts now though since it switched to https. Should I make a different post to address that?

Re: Purchased SSL Certif but still shows as unsecure
Images that are not hosted by Forumotion (Servimg, etc.) will not have the secure link unless the image host providers offer secure links.

Oh, Ok. It is going to be a big issue on our forum. Most of the posts are all made with illustrations/pictures.

Re: Purchased SSL Certif but still shows as unsecure
The images are there, but they just do not appear if they do not have a secure link. Press the edit button and you will see the image's URL.
One solution would be to upload the image to the image host your forum has in the editor.

Re: Purchased SSL Certif but still shows as unsecure
SLGray, I could do that but, to explain it to everyone who posts, would be a problem. I guess according to the original topic, this topic has been rectified. Thank you, everyone, for your assistance.

Re: Purchased SSL Certif but still shows as unsecure
Just post a topic on your forum about secure links and images. Inform them that they need to have https links. You can offer a solution of hosting their images through the host an image button in the editor on your forum.

Re: Purchased SSL Certif but still shows as unsecure
You can switch from http and https and back when you purchase the SSL certificate.
Skouliki switched back to http to re-host/upload the images to a host that has secure links. When that was finished, skouliki switched back to https.

Re: Purchased SSL Certif but still shows as unsecure
I ended up turning off the https option. It was just effecting too many of our previous posts (it made all past pictures turn into the broken link image) and current posting (too time consuming to not be able to just copy paste and members float in and out won't know to look for a post about how to post).
I guess we just have to deal with the pop up of our site being unsecure and just not re-up when the certification expires.
Thanks for everyone's help.
