Solved Can I rename forum?

Can I rename an existing forum "http://ryansengineforum.forumotion.com" - no idea who ryan is Confused

Also do I need to purchase a domain name or can I just use forum name?

1. You can edit your forum name if you go to:
Admin Panel > General >Forum address (and there you will see the option to rename it)

You do not NEED to purchase a domain name, your forum will work just fine om the free one, however, you can if you WANT to.

Thanks Brandon. If I purchase a new domain name how do I 'point' it at the forum ?

Apologies for all these dumb questions but despite 30 years in IT I never got involved in any web development.

If you just change the name of the forum, you also need to change it here:  AP > General > Forum Promotion > Search Engines.



When your topic has been solved, ensure you mark the topic solved.
