Strange Occurrence with New User Profile
Forgive me if I do anything wrong, or of this is in the improper place, after searching around, I believe this to be the best place for this question:
- Given past issues with members on our forumotion site leading to mass harassment of members, several users have been blocked and staff of the site does it's best to screen all new members
- A new member showed up on our forum, with connections to various random profiles in their IPs (new and old, not necessarily those banned), which is unlike anything we have seen before
- Additionally, this particular user (and only with them) if you click from their profile to see what topics or posts that user has, Forumotion shows the message that nothing is found, and yet they have various topics across the boards
Any ideas why this might be happening or has anyone see this before? Because it's new and with prior issues, this raised several red flags for staff of the site. TIA.

Re: Strange Occurrence with New User Profile
Hello,
It's possible this user either has what is called a rolling ip (where the ip changes daily) or they are using a proxy or a vpn to mask their IP. This would explain the ip changes, which in and of itself is not 'suspicious' as a lot of people use vpns or proxies.
As for the the forum saying posts from this user don't exist, could you provide us an example of a post where this happens so we can have a look for ourselves?

It's the same "no topics or posts met your criteria search" message.
You can still see them if you go to the topic on the board directly.

Hello
It's because of the special character ~ in username.
You have the same thing here for example with user /XT/JDCypress/XT/
