mention feature @

I cant get the @ next to members names to allow me to mention them in reply

I added a screen shot to original question I asked in group
Ive tried deleting forum cookies and anything anyone suggested. It works for everyone else. I can type their name with the @ and it works bur not when I click the @ under their avatar

Hello,

When your tagging a user, are you putting quotation marks before and after the username? This is the most effective method to ensure the tag works correctly.

For example, if you were to tag me, here is how you should do it:

Code:: @"brandon_g"

This is especially true if a username has spaces of symbols in it.

P.s Could you please provide the url of the forum on which you having the issue on.

Do you have the feature activate? If yes, is the usernames you are trying to mention have special characters or spaces?

I can "mention" in my other group where it has that feature @next to their name under avatar...just not EFR group. Look at my screen shot above...
See the @ next to my name under avatar? That's what wont work for me to mention when I click on the @. if I just add the @ it works...but its quicker to mention/tag members if you click on that icon under their avatar. Make sense???

What forum version are you trying this on ?
and did you follow this part

The method of installation will be via JavaScript, so make sure to navigate to JavaScript codes management in your Administration Panel. Wink
( Administration Panel > Modules > JavaScript codes management )

If you've recently created a forum, be sure that you enabled JS codes management by choosing Yes.

The first two scripts provided are optimized for all forum versions, provided you have not heavily modified your templates. You will see a variable at the top of these scripts titled version. Be sure to change the number to the one that corresponds to your forum version. The options are :

0 : PHPBB2
1 : PHPBB3
2 : PUNBB
