So, first of all I'll start by saying I'm using WYSIWYG for posts.
I have tried fixing the issue by using BBcode instead for the posts but it still does this.

I noticed... Every. Single. Time. I write up a nicely formatted post, with spacing, fonts, bold, etc. it gets messed up after I submit it. And I have to edit it, and re-format everything, and then submit again - but that usually doesn't solve the problem 100%, it continues to mess up the formatting I put in. It will put spaces between lines of text that I didn't include, it'll un-font random lines of text, it'll get rid of emotes I use. And now, it won't even let me use the emotes (copy & paste emotes). It seems to do these things at random and I am unable to find a connection. I've tried everything I know to fix it. This is incredibly frustrating when I'm trying to focus on aesthetic appeal with my posts, making a simple post take over an hour to submit because I have to keep trying to fix the messed up formatting.

Please help.

Do you press return at the end of lines?  If yes, the system will count that has a space.

@SLGray
No, I only press the Enter key.
Then, I submit the post and it's all wonky, often with double spaces between most of the lines.

Enter/return is the same thing.

If you want a space in your post, do not add one yourself.  The system will add one even if there is already one there.  Also if you  use the code, quote, etc. tags, you need only to add the text right under it.  The system will add a space.

@SLGray
This confuses me.
If I want to start a new line of text, I need to press Enter in order to start a new paragraph. And I only press it once but it ends up with all this wasted space and makes my posts look awful. Why is automatic spacing a thing, and is there a way I can turn it off? When I write a WYSIWYG post and what I get is not what I see, it defeats the entire purpose of that function don't you think? Here's an example of what I'm talking about :

Header
Text text text paragraph
Next text text text paragraph

Above input turns into this after I submit:

Header

Text text text paragraph

Next text text text paragraph

Sorry, I posted wrong.  If you do want a space, you will have to press enter, but the system will add another space, too.

That's kind of awful. I don't know why Forumotion would do that as it's incredibly unnecessary and gives people less control over what their posts look like. Do you know if there's a way to stop that, or do I have to use a different forum host site to actually format my posts the way I want to?
Edit:
It also doesn't explain why it automatically takes out my emotes and bullets and stuff, seemingly at random. Or if I'm using a font such as Times New Roman, why it randomly reverts some lines back to Ariel.

I am looking right now because I believe there was a code for this.

@SLGray
Thank you, I'd really like to be allowed to manually format my posts without the "system" trying to do things for me. It makes a nice, compact looking announcement take up 3x more space.
I edited my above post as well, to mention that the auto spacing thing the system does, doesn't explain why the other aspects of my formatting (bold, fonts, emotes) will randomly be removed or un-formatted. For example I'll make an entire post Times New Roman but after I submit, there will be random lines un-formatted, turned back into Ariel text, remove the sizing I have, remove emotes, un-bold lines of text etc. I'm sure it's all tied to the same automatic system thing.
