Moving posts from the old founder
Hello!
Firstly, thank you for swiftly arranging the change of 'Founder' on our forum. This has happened, I can login to the founder tools and to the forum using the login of the previous Founder. This is all really good!
Now this is my problem:
The 'founders account' on our forum is called 'Admin', as you might expect this is user u1. The previous founder used this account to post hundreds of posts.
Now I am the 'Founder' I do not want the administrator/Founder account run by me to be associated with the views/posts of the previous 'Founder'.
Ideally, to solve this problem, I would like to either:
* associate the 'Founder' account with another account on the forum, so that I can then disassociate myself from the previous 'Founder'
or
* move the posts of the previous 'Founder' from the 'Admin' user to some other user
or
* delete the posts of the 'Admin' user (but not one-by-one, as this would take a very long time)
I have looked in the help forum to try and work out how to do these things, but I cannot see how to do any of them, please can you help.
Thanks in advance.

hello
you can change the nickname Admin to something else and name your account Admin* associate the 'Founder' account with another account on the forum, so that I can then disassociate myself from the previous 'Founder'
can not be doneor
* move the posts of the previous 'Founder' from the 'Admin' user to some other user
the only way is one by one unless its threadsor
* delete the posts of the 'Admin' user (but not one-by-one, as this would take a very long time)
Re: Moving posts from the old founder
Thanks for your quick reply.
Yes, I can change the user (u1) to a name other than 'Admin', however that user will still be the user associated with the 'Founder' account, hence I will have to use that account when performing certain functions.
I was asking about adjusting which user was associated with the Founder, not just changing the name.
Really?! I would have thought that this kind of tool would have been useful to people other than just me.

there was a suggestion about this https://help.forumotion.com/t76692-delete-all-member-posts-with-one-click?vote=viewresult
there is a code at the french support but you need to change some things to your own Language..also you will have to make a button in your navbar and mark it just for your staff you can trust as this will remove all posts from the servers and you can not get them back without a backup https://forum.forumactif.com/t348385-supprimer-les-messages-d-un-membre
Re: Moving posts from the old founder
What do you mean by associate with the founder's account? If you search for posts by your profile, only the posts by that profile will appear.

Yes, the above is true, but I have obviously not been sufficiently clear in my explanation of the problem.
Let me explain more clearly:
The previous founder was posting on the forum using an account called 'Admin'. This was the account which was associated with the Founder i.e. ACP -> Users and Groups -> Special Users has the information 'Founder: Admin'.
When the 'Founder' login was transferred to me (thanks again) all that appears have happened is that the 'Admin' user has had its email address changed to the one that I specified and its password changed.
This is fine, but it means that all the posts of the previous Founder are all there on the forum, as posted by the user 'Admin'.
I would like to be able to administrate the forum using the Founder user (called Admin or otherwise, I appreciate I can change the name) without being associated with the posts from the former founder, hence my request about moving the posts to another user or adjusting which forum account is associated with the Founder or deleting the posts etc.
Re: Moving posts from the old founder
It is not possible to transfer posts and/or topics between accounts.
