Bought PREMIUM package.. still seeing adverts.
I purchased the premium package in credits management and we're still seeing adverts as pictured and in one widget. Can't seem to figure out how to disable them. Any help would be most appreciated.

Hello,
Did you go into credits management and disable the ads there?

Re: Bought PREMIUM package.. still seeing adverts.
it says I don't have enough credits. I just bought the Premium package and assumed disabling ads was one of the benefits. Is that not the case? There's a drop down arrow next to disabling ads that I assumed would become functional once I bought the package as I couldn't select YES at the beginning. What is the purpose of the drop down arrow if it doesn't function? Not complaining just VERY concerned. I feel duped into buying the package for the entire year if that's the case and would like to request a refund of the credits spent.

It looks like you disabled ads only for members (logged-in users).

You have to set the option (drop-down menu) before you purchase the packages.

Re: Bought PREMIUM package.. still seeing adverts.
Seems I didn't select remove ads when I purchased premium package.(Bit of a swizz to make you select no ads as that's the only reason I bought the premium package) how do I remove ads now?
Re: Bought PREMIUM package.. still seeing adverts.
I ended up spending another tenner to vet rid of the ads. Never buy the premium package, it's not worth the money.
Re: Bought PREMIUM package.. still seeing adverts.
The drop down arrow didn't work before I bought the package. I tried it several times and assumed it would function after spending the credits for the premium package.
How do I request a credits refund from forumotion or support?

The only way to remove the ad's for all your members now is to pay the outstanding amount.

Hello,
Please read our TOS :
The credits expense, the subscription to a "package", the purchase of a domain name or the use of any service such as the deletion of advertisements is, within the meaning of these Terms, a "use" of a paid service. The User expressly consents by these Terms that these services may be provided before the expiry of the withdrawal period, resulting in the waiver of this period.
So no refund is possible. if you do not wish to keep your package, simply cancel your monthly payment from your administration panel by clicking on the button "STOP THE MONTHLY PAYMENT" on your Credits management Summary
Re: Bought PREMIUM package.. still seeing adverts.
That's unfortunate. The non functional arrow to disable ads is obviously a rouse and I fell for it hook, line and sinker. As a matter of principle, considering the $$ we've spent over all of our years with forumotion it would appear as though the time has come to part ways. In lieu of such underhanded tactics I will never spend another dime here under any circumstances. Shame really as we were strong believers in keeping the forum going though many of our members have migrated to our facebook pages only. Thank you for many good years and an otherwise positive experience.
Kind Regards,

The arrow/drop down menu does work. Could it maybe have been a browser issue or something else on your end that caused it not to work?
.
Anyway, if you email forumotion, maybe they will refund you. I don't work for head office so I can't guarantee you that personally, but you certainly don't know if you don't try.

Hello @Bloodhound1958
The removal of advertising is not an option included in the packages, it comes as extra. Whether you remove the advertising before or after buying a package, it does not change the price you will pay, it will always be the same
Currently, you have purchased a premium package without any ads deletion. So, it is normal that the ads appears on the forum. If you wish to delete them, you will need to acquire the necessary credits for this. The exact amount is indicated in your Credits management > Spend credits > Ads according to the type of deletion desired (member or members & guests)

- Before purchasing the package: you can include the ads removal when purchasing the package via the dropdown in the package table.
- After purchasing the package: you can delete the ads from the Misc tab > Spend credits > ads.
