Re: Domain Connection
You can only have one domain name linked to your forum.
The topic was posted in the wrong section, so I have moved it to the correct section.

Re: Domain Connection
Hello,
The only thing you could do is have your external domain redirect to the one you got through Forumotion. This can easily be done through the control panel of your domain name provider.

Re: Domain Connection
The domain i purchased from forumation is not active yet, please can you do something about that?
Re: Domain Connection
You need to turn off the other domain name in your ACP of your other host you can not have 2 domain names working on one forum.
Re: Domain Connection

Re: Domain Connection
What I meant is, you have to go to the cname of your domain (this would be found in the control panel provided by the provider you got the domain through, such as Godaddy, etc), you can set it to re direct to your free domain name or the custom one, this should not effect the one you have through Forumotion to my understanding.
Edit: Wait until your Forumotion domain is finished being processed and is activated before trying to start the redirection again.

It can take up to 72 hours for the domain name process to be completely done.

Re: Domain Connection
Hello,
the activation takes up to 5 working days and not 72 hours. this information is clearly specified on your administration panel when ordering the domain
it has been activated during this period and you have received a notification email to inform you of its availability. currently, the forum answers perfectly on it : http://www.9jaloud.com
