the other day i found out that forumation have removed google ads on the english boards, but i have them on my forum. is this a little problem or have you added them again so we have to pay for them to be removed

i may not agree how the place ads on forum, but you lot have to understand this is the only way they make money without ads they would go out of business and you wouldn't have a free forum!!!

For people who don't wish ads anymore, a new option has been added :
general > Ads are disabled > choose the option you wish.

Please although wait a few minutes for the modifications to be done.

We know it will come....so least they honored what they stated...I dont mind them making an announcement stating a date ads will be added which allows people to buy credits ect...I want them to stay open and am all for them being able to make a profit...but want it done fairly

here's my biggest beef

how can forumotion allow pornographic adds to be placed on forums when forumotions TOS states there in no pornography allowed on your forum?
technically by forumotion allowing these porn adds to be there and it is already on your forum.

FORUMOTION is in VIOLATION of there own TOS . it seems illegal for forumotion to allow or do this. so they can do it. but we cant? (what a joke)

porn is porn whether it's in a add form or something posted on your forum.

I joined forumotion in part because of the "no ads" as well as other things but I just don't want them for members. I want forumotion to stay open and make money, I want them to grow and get more tech and all that good stuff... The thing that got me going was how they just showed up out of no where and there was no post anywhere saying to expect them to be on for guests or that links would be showing that aren't for all ages.

I also tried but he said it will take a little while so we need to give them time...hopefully it will be soon

these need to go on all forums or none as its not fair to the people who get them because they have to pay when other sites don't.

and you need to sort out these porno type ads as this is not fair to the forum owners or their members and you will lose people if these ads continue.

I don't mind paying for mine to be removed if i get them but only if every other forum gets them! If there are forums with illegal content shouldn't they be completely shut down ?

I would also suggest if your not wanting any ads in the future to buy points whenever you can this way you have them and can activate when they do announce they have to add the ads

I think it would be fair to give ALL the forum users add free forums then forumation change the advert to say it will have adds and give new members who create forums the forum with adds on. I signed up to the Add free forum for that reason! I don't want this forced onto me as its not fair or what I signed upto. If forumation warn new members that the forum will have adds unless they pay to remove. I think that would be the fair one...

Cheers Typlo, you should sack the boss lol, pure breakdown in communications there lol.

I love the forums, and I agree you need to make money to stay open, but I think there has to be a better way to do it, yes have adds, but let us choose what ads we use, and where to put them, this will also benefit you, for example, I run a gaming forum, so gaming ads would suit me best, it would also suit you, cos people on the gaming forum, would more likely click a game related add than one for food, or loans etc.
Also reward us for using the adds, like extra forum content etc.
