the other day i found out that forumation have removed google ads on the english boards, but i have them on my forum. is this a little problem or have you added them again so we have to pay for them to be removed

Well I feel very betrayed as he said he would give us the option of removing the ads an he didnt...also have 56 people to open forums from yahoo and will steer them elsewhere...they would flip if treated in such a fashion

you have to understand they need the income by this you cant expect a free forum without ads or how will they make money, you dont nothing free these days

if you dont want the ads just pay the £12 to remove them it's not much at all or you can pay like around £50 to host your own forum

Well thats not true, my partner is just now building a forum phbbp3 that has no ads what so ever, oh yeah and its free and as been running for at least 12months. So it can be done, and if it wasnt for all the hard work ive put into my forum, id be off to that place too now. Nobody seems to listen, ive sent screen shots to show these sex chat rooms im getting, but they are still there. We have put up with some rubbish over the months here but this for me is just taking the P*** now.

There is only one address visible on the screen, how can i delete them without seeing the proper address? please sent them to me via PM.

typlo as already said that page should of been deleted a while back how many more time do i have to tell you, forumotion as to make some kind of income and this is it.

i did read what typlo had to say, the fact is the promotional page was there when i signed up, and so it was for many others too. In business its called false advertising, and i should know as i run two business.But its fine spook if you want to get pushed around and just lay down and take it thats your prerogative, many members just dont feel like that though, but they just dont want to lose their forums so really dont say anything, which is why so many people are getting disheartened with forumotion now, its just one thing after the other.

what next i wonder....

All I have seen recently is a fast devolving.
Forumotion due to the bugs and the lack of fixes has gone from one of the best forum providers to very low on the list.
Don't believe me, try looking round to see what others offer.
The only reason my forum is still on forumotion is because of the chatbox which despite the bugs is still one of the best ones.

Well if i run my spiritcharms store like that people would have something to say. I have a few incentives for people to buy from me, from free gifts to free postage, if i turned around and said after they have purchased "oh sorry that ad should have been turned off, or we dont do that anymore, my customers would have every right to report me to the trading standards. When you advertise something it becomes legally binding. Even something simple like if you go into a shop and they have marked something up at the wrong price they are legally obliged to sell it you at that price. This is why you have to be careful what you put up front in advertising. (which is why if something is on offer and its not "forever"or wont stay the same for existing customers then by law you have to put "subject to change without notice". which is why you see it all over in advertising. You cant just change your mind without warning and take the promotional stuff off aferwards when you feel like it. That im afraid is false advertising.

as far as those chat room im getting is concerned , ive offered up the link to the page on my forum (must be seven pages back in this topic now), so you can see them for yourself, and see exactly where they go.

It plain that forumotion dont actually give a stuff how its members feel. Crap way to run a business that depends on peoples loyalty, that all i can say.

We have never allowed porno ads, and i've been repeating in my past answers to provide me with those ads so we can delete them.
These ads are managed by google, so we need to input filters so that those kind of ads don't go through anymore.
