the other day i found out that forumation have removed google ads on the english boards, but i have them on my forum. is this a little problem or have you added them again so we have to pay for them to be removed

it does look bad when 1 admin says forumotion remove all google ads from the english board & the other admin say it's always been like this,

and there still forums that dont have google ads i just dont think it's fair.

display > generalities > Homepage message, you'll see that its your own google ads there, not ours

Like many others on the line here, who actually chose forumotion for the fact that there is no ads. Unfortunately I'm not able to locate the site where I have found you guys on.

How about just telling us all, are these ads here to stay? Will it or will it not be removed?

You know, if I look at the big picture here it is cleare that we are not a happy bunch currently.

Do you want us to go else where?

Why not simply stop the whole unhappyness and take away the ads! Or for that matter just deactivate the thing that make the ads command in the admin pannel jump back to guests once you click on no ads!

No it doesn't work that way
We have a special procedure for validation that I can't fully describe here.

When I signed up in April it stated no ads...or I would of never used them...somewhere along the line this has stopped...now my ads didnt show up until day before yesterday...I would have respect for a company that stated due to increase cost as of such and such date we have no choice but to generate extra funds using Google ads...but please dont insult me coming in and making such a statement as the ads have always been there....because I am intelligent enough to know what I read when I signed up...dont appreciate being told the ads have always been there...some need to get their stories straight before making statements

I might add it will only take one child to click on one of those not so nice ads and lawsuits will come down on the person running the forum along with Google and Forumotion...let a child get in some type of trouble because he entered a adult chat from your forum and gave them personal info and we wont have to worry about the ads

picking and choosing which forum should have google ads is proper wrong, i'm shocked that this is happening

I validate them manually only because we need to avoid displaying the ads on illegal forums, that would make our google account closed.
It's no question of activity, just of content.

A simple answer, why not?
You are providing a service to customers we have the right to know.
All of this non-answering could spell the end for forumotion as all it would take is a rich forum owner to take every penny forumotion/forumactif have.
Think first before replying of the law of contract.

Isn't an issue?
Its a bloody big issue when our sites are bombarded with ads for strap on dildos and porn chat sites.
Quoting the tos won't work this time as the contract was a written one, a quote which appears at the beginning of this thread and several unless you have deleted them that appear throughout this forum.
e.g the english forums do not have ads.
We as members want answers not sidesteps and non-answers.
I think you think that the non-registered company of forumactif/forumotion are beyond the law but you are very much mistaken.
Its time for answers to the members questions in this thread as many of the members are becoming angry with the staffs attitude and lack of concern.
A little message posted on the board along the lines of, due to increased costs adverts will now be placed on your forums would have sufficed instead of selectively targeting popular forums.
I for one feel cheated by forumotion as do many more.
If any members had put the adverts mentioned on their forums you would have shut them down.
You're getting sick and tired, try looking at it from our point of view just for once.
Double standards seem to be the new forumotion slogan.

I don't think it's fair that the ads are forced upon us all of a sudden. Nobody clicks those ads anyway...
