Buttercup, one of my users said that when he sends a newsletter to test new message arrives to his email normally, but when he confirms the message and sends it to all members, members reported receiving no newsletter forum go...

My test forum has this issue I sent out a newsletter to an account I made and I haven't received the newsletter.

Not like it is a big deal for me but for other members it could be.

A member can not send a newsletter.  Do you mean an administrator?

Hi ButterCup

On the "Savebox"they are both showing as sent so that is good..

I had the first one but not the second one don't know if I was meant to get the second one.

Anyway what I have to understand that they use to be sent and received instantly which now isn't the case so patients required by me..

Once again thanks ButterCup for the time spent looking into this for me and the forum membership

Hi all,

I've written about this before and thought I had it sorted but it's back. When we send out a newsletter to all of our 103 members we get a very high % pinged back to us as 'undelivered'.

This month it was 48.

We have asked all members concerned to check their email address in their profile and most have responded to say that their profile does indeed contain the correct e-mail address.

Yet we are still getting the same problem month on month.

We had no problems for the first 14 months, then without any obvious change, we have the problem every month now for the last six.

Please help us, as we feel out on a limb here not being able to communicate with our members en masse.

We seem to be having the newsletter problem on our forum too.  I tried to send two newsletters this morning, I received the test newsletter, but no members received theirs, nor is it appearing in the archives.

What's the current situation with the Newsletters?

I sent a newsletter yesterday Sunday, 1st March) to my forum members (phpBB3) and although I received the 'test' newsletter, I did not receive the actual newsletter afterwards. 

Neither did my members - which is a shame because the content was directly related to the first day of the month.

The newsletter has appeared in the Admin Panel - Newsletter - Tracking and Archives - with a date time stamp as follows:

Hello Sophie,

Actually, the newsletter reception depends on other forums. For example, if a forum send a NL to 1000 users and you send a newsletter just after him, you have to wait that all users from the other forum receive the NL. So, your NL will be " on a waiting list"

Previously, when I sent a newsletter I received two mails.
Now I have one this morning and this afternoon I sent one.
But now get only one email is correct in this?

Edit.
State administrator panel as sent.
But nobody ontvagt newsletter.
From Saturday, this problem is already understand nothing more

Sorry but my englisch is very bad i do this with an translator

Thanks for your reply, Buttercup.

I fully understand the newsletter queue system, but I do not think this is the issue here.

32 hours after I sent that newsletter, it still was not received.  I don't believe it sat for 32 hours on a waiting list.

I sent the newsletter again, yesterday, but this time I sent it from another email address.  The newsletter was delivered within 20 minutes.

I shall continue to use my alternative email address for sending future newsletters.

Hello,

I just wanted to report that it appears I can not send out a newsletter either oh my forum. I wrote one out and tried to send it it then confirm it. After doing so I recieve this error message curtousy of my acp:

It appears in my save box the newsletter I ak trying to send not the archive or whatever and I have not recieved the newsletter myself either.

Can I ask did you send a test News letter to your self then go to and send a 2nd one right after ?
If yes this is why your getting your Error as the server will only let you send one in i think its 12 hrs

This is to stop spam Emails going from the system.

if no then i will make a report to the Pro Admin Buttercup

No only tried to send the one, I tried it once like a 2 weeks ago and never recieved the NL (didnt get the error message though), today I figured I will try re sending it and got the error message. This is the 1st I have EVER used the newsletter system. So there is no way there is anything that could have lost or remebered by Fm from my forum.

Hello @brandon_g i have ran some really easy tests and found the NL system to be working fine from my end i sent a news letter with no problem with the account you gave me in a pm

Please Note that This news letter was sent to your yahoo account of that test account only.

here is the screen shot to show the NL was sent Wink

when filling out the news letter make sure you give the news letter A name and make sure you type at least 10 characters and maximum of 180 characters. then press the send button.

if you are still having a problem then please feel free to ask for more help and i will pass this on to the head staff members.
