Re: Forum Api
What exactly do you want to do with an API?

Re: Forum Api
Are you wanting to show the information on a site other than a Forumotion site or are you looking to use the information within a forum?

Re: Forum Api
There is no formal API but I would imagine you should be able to use the information from the profile page anywhere on the Forum via Javascript if you wanted to.

Re: Forum Api
That depends on what your trying to do and which data specificly your trying to use. This would be something for a support topic though and not a suggestion thread. My suggestion would be to make a support topic detailing what you want to do and we will try to help come up with a solution for you.

Re: Forum Api
For sure it would be useful and great - and I am gonna vote Yes for this - but the problem is that the average administrator would never use it because of it complexity. For this reason, the time and money necessary to develop this, would not be justified by the actual use of users and administrators.
I agree with you about its importance, but I don't think it will ever be worth the effort of the development

I agree with you Niko. As someone who is a Computer Science/Programming major now, I would probably enjoy messing around with an API if there was one. However, pre 2019 me who barely knew html and css (and a tiny bit of JS) I would never have been able to use an API (at least not without likely breaking something lol) I believe most of our users probably fall in the latter category as well.
That being said, I think Forumotion already does a great job of catering to both users who know how to code and those who don't and I think that is it's greatest strength (outside of the A+ international support team of course... totally non bias opinion here ). I dont think there is any other forum service providing the best of both worlds.

Re: Forum Api
exactly @brandon_g
I agree it would be wonderful, but also that it would be too much effort and money for a limited number of users. I am not sure if a phpBB extension already exist, that maybe would speed up the implementation - but for sure it would be a massive work for the grace of a few (me included of course eheh)
