Thanks for the update, and really, thanks a tonne for coming online today, to both you and the Pro-Team to work on these issues, it really says something about a company that tries its best when they do extra work then they usually do.

Typlo, with re: the sending of e-mails, you HAVE HAD to know that this was coming up. IF e-mails weren't feasible, at LEAST an announcement a few days PRIOR to the event on THESE boards surely would have helped a LOT.

I understand more that you'd probably guess the situation y'all are in, but to launch a project as described in your OP Without forewarning the people with Forums hosted by Forumotion, is really quite a "head-scratcher"...understanding the volume of e-mails to Founders you say you'd have to send.

Just my opinion of course.

You see not even the french forum, which is the main forumotion board, as forumotion is primarily french had no more than 2 hours notice, we here consider any notice lucky

Cheers Typlo, staff and Techs, although this is frustraiting, you guys/ladies always come through, and we have been through some updates together lol.
I now some members of your forums will get annoyed, but if they are good members they will stand by you, while this gets sorted.

That really is of no import. The type of actions described in the OP take DAYS to sort out..ESPECIALLY for a base described by Typlo.

This is HARDLY my first go at this type of thing. Ever heard of LiveLeak? Ogrish perhaps?

I am doing a bit of "fiddling" with some projects to try to bring about a real "different" type of Forum...I am TRYING to decide what type of program I'd like to go with. I'm just saying that the Administrative staff here HAD to know DAYS in advance that this was coming, and the prudent thing to do would have been to inform people at LEAST on these boards, that this was coming, at LEAST a few days in advance.

I appreciate that the tech staff are off until tomorrow, but can I just point out to any moderators of this forum who read this that the wording of the announcement really isn't helping anybody's tempers.

Reading that everything's fine -

This manipulation is harmless for your forums. Only a few slowdowns can be encountered during the process when browsing your forums.

when that is clearly not the case is pretty frustrating. It might be a good idea to alter the wording to indicate that you know that there are problems.

We have our back office, but our forum has been completely DEAD since early Friday (Pacific time).
