I am still having new user registration problems that I can't figure out
For instance , this new user gets this message
This is the email I am supposed to activate his with
this is what I see when I click that email
Something isn't right . Do you have any suggestions ? This has been going on for weeks.

Hi @azwiz,
That's very weird. Have you checked the inactive users list of your forum ?
Administration Panel > Users and groups > Users > Inactive users
Click the box to the right of posts, then scroll down and click the "activate" button to active their account.

It is very weird . Yes I did that very thing and activated this guy and asked him to try it again . He replied saying it did the same thing . I then went in and changed his password and asked him to try it with that . Because now he shows up totally active on my end but he still can't get in . I have not heard back from him .
Re: I am still having new user registration problems that I can't figure out
Has he tried clearing his cache and forum cookies after you activated and changed the password manually?

I am not sure . He is not responding . But I will message him and suggest that he do so . Ok wait I know about browser cookies are there different forum cookies ?
Re: I am still having new user registration problems that I can't figure out
At the bottom of every forumotion forum you will see a link called 'clear forum cookies' . These are the forum cookies and how to clear them.

I am sure not seeing it . Could you point it out to me please .
Not only that but he is not able to register and join the forum . He has never been in a forumotion forum . So even if he could get in . Which is the topic of this thread . " How to get him in" Since he hasn't ever been in he wouldn't have any forum cookies to clear anyway . lol . I have never seen anything referring to forum cookies anyway .
Not able to find any mention of cookies
I have looked on every page in my forum . And every page in my AP . Can't seem to find any mention of cookies . Don't remember ever seeing it .brandon_g wrote:At the bottom of every forumotion forum you will see a link called 'clear forum cookies' . These are the forum cookies and how to clear them.
Re: I am still having new user registration problems that I can't figure out
I don't think the browser cache would affect logging into the forum since it's handled server-side. Also, I don't see the cookie deletion link on your board either, so it's probably disabled -- I wouldn't worry about that.
He's typing his username correct ( J2FFY ), right ? That's the only thing I can think of if he typed the password you provided correctly. This is confusing, but it has to be one or the other, unless there's a new bug I'm unaware of..

Re: I am still having new user registration problems that I can't figure out
Ok . This is the third time I have reported this . There have been at least 5 maybe more new members that have been unsuccessful in being able to confirm registration . Twice I have been able to confirm registration but the user has not been unable to log on . This being one and another who gave up entirely . Plus at least 3 or 4 more that gave up and are long gone . Not had a successful new user since . A couple few weeks ago , the second time I reported this . A mod I think his name was draxion went right to it and was able to sign right in . So I tried to sign out and then sign my wife in . It told me the same things that the username was already being used , that the email was invalid etc . But two days later her name showed up as a new member . The problems exist and has scared away at least 5 potential new members . I really need to solve this issue . Re: I am still having new user registration problems that I can't figure out
We'll call this SOLVED for now . Had 1 successful registrar yesterday . I think different factors effect each user . Browser , patience , experience , etc. Thank you for your help .
