Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
I have not heard from all who complained this morning. But a few initial reports are, that the users are not having any difficulties at this time. I will let you know if that changes. Thanks for the quick response this morning.
Is it possible to make it clear to the ad partners that this must stop?

Trust me they are well aware that fm does not allow these types of ads. The problem is, that it seems these ad providers dont monitor the ads they put up that closely and then ads like the trouble causing ads slip through the cracks.

Maybe you should work with some other ad provider?

Forumotion uses more than one ad provider.

Is this still of actuality with the change of provider? If yes, please provide a screenshot. Thank you.

still not solved and why im not using it. This is the link im sent to when I merely grab the rt nav slider to move the page down, this is unforgiveable behaviour.

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
Hello @Dimeloas,
Your forum has no activity point, when a forum reach zero in activity some ads that we call pop-under are activated. Normally they don't bother because the forums with no activity has no real visitors. So if you want to get read of these pop unders, you'll have to post a few posts on your forum (3 or 4 I think) and it should go away.

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
Im getting redirects from hell on my ipad. Pc seems ok.
It doesnt open a new tab, just stops me from reading the page i clicked.
http://us.vi52f8ld.pw/deswp0904/00.php?model=iPad&brand=Apple&os=IOS%209.3&br=Mobile%20Safari&brv=Mobile%20Safari%209&isp&voluumdata=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&site=razorhunters.forumotion.com
Makes the site pretty much unusable
Additional information :Im in germany on my ipad, tried different browesers, cleared the cache etc. I dont see a banner ad, maybe there is one but it redirects too fast for me to see properly. Its happened before, it comes and goes but this one is especially stupid, ridiculous advertisers are in such a hurry to spam an ad they make a site unusable and therefore not visited, which is biting the hand that feeds them
I hope you can help, sorry i dont have more info.

Hello @Jas101,
If you can share your forum address so I can check it is not something that is in your forum that's causing the redirections

@Jas101
Okay so it seems ok from my side.
So the problem only occures on mobile devices ?
Are you redirectioned right away or do you have the time to connect ?
Can you provide a screenshot?
Are you the only one impacted by this problem or those your members also suffered from this ?

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
As far as i can tell its only mobile. All members using mobile devices have the same problem.
Its an instant redirect, if i click 'back' it will redirect again- if i do this 5-6 times i will eventually get the page i wanted. Ive blocked the page in safari and also my router, but then i get a 'this page is blocked' message, so it dosnt solve the problem. It doesnt seem to be an ad at first glance - more like phishing. Although im not sure about this. What can i post a screen shot of? The redirect, where it takes me to?
Alomst forgot, thanks for the help

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
It is probably a banner with an hidden script in it. So I'm going to report it and see if they can identify it quickly. Since how long do you have the redirection by the way ?

Great support! Thankyou!
Edit: im getting this one too now.

These crap adverts seem to be determined to destroy what is actually a really nice service

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
Been having exactly the same issues as mentioned above (redirect pop ups) from my mobile phone (iPhone).
http://www.606v2.com/t63899p400-6cw-chat-v14#3433465
This page redirects nearly every time.

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
Hello,
We are currently investigating the issue but it's really complicated on our side because we don't generate these redirects. We open your forums with several devices (iPhones and iPads) and we have no redirect...
Please, can you confirm us:
- It only concerns the mobile version.
- It only concerns Apple device (iPhones and iPads).
- The big part of the complaints come from Germany.
Is it correct? We will continue to investigate to solve the issue today or tomorrow.
We're really sorry about that... We applied many changes few weeks ago to stop the redirects !

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
This situation is really strange because the ad partners are different on the mobile and desktop versions. But the redirects appear at the same time.
About the redirects on the desktop version, you browse the forum with a mobile device too?

My users are experiencing the same problem: www.newsfixboard.com
I'll supply screenshots as my mobile users provide them. I know it's affecting iPad users; I'll ask other members what they're using.

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
This is currently (and has been) happening on my site as well: www.fairytailhaven.forumotion.com
I get mentions from the majority of my members that this happens frequently as well, although they're mainly located within the United States. As per the device I use, it's and Android and Chromebook so.. dunno.

Re: [ONLY TOPIC] Ads redirection (Mobile & PC)
I asked if anyone was having difficulty today as traffic looks down. Looks like one of the ad partners needed to boost their hits, so they opened up the re-direction spam ads again. Ok, so maybe they really didn't do it to increase revenues. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)
