Domain Expiration
Hi all, I guess I missed my renewal date for my annual domain which expired on Dec 10th 2023. I haven't been on in a few months and never received an email or notification that it was coming up but still I know its my fault. Is there any way to retrieve it? www.gmbbodyforum.net was the domain. Also with notification of upcoming domain renewal, how is that sent? Via email or another method?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Domain Expiration
Hello GM.
Yes, Forumotion inform in your control panel. You can repurchase the domain as long as it is available. See this topic, please:

Re: Domain Expiration
I will tag @Luzz to see if we still have your domain linked to us.
You should get a email from us 60 days before the domain is up for renewal and again 30 days before.
I know this has been a problem to some members including my self but i did get the warning on the ACP (Admin Control panel.) Are Tech team are looking in to the Email problem.
I hope Luzz will get back to us on Monday as the office is now closed for the weekend.

Re: Domain Expiration
Thanks Ape. I went through my emails and didn't find any notification and i hadn't logged into the admin panel i think since September, time sure creeps up fast!
Re: Domain Expiration
Sorry for the double post, but I just noticed today that the domain is up on godaddy auction, at this point I'm sure its too late to recover, however I'm positive I can purchase it and if so can it be transferred or redirected here? I see the post Shek made mentions this but I didn't see an option to do that in the admin panel.
Re: Domain Expiration
When it becomes available, you can purchase it through your administration panel.

Re: Domain Expiration
Yes sadly if it's up for auction it is to late for us to do anything.
If you buy the domain name from Godaddy your need to follow this >> Redirecting a domain name acquired outside Forumotion
if you need any more help later in time please make a new post.
Regards.

Re: Domain Expiration
Hello @GM B-Body Forum
We are sorry about your domain.
Indeed, it expired on December 12 and now it is too late for a classic renewal.
While trying to see what I could do at our registrar, I just saw that GoDaddy is asking us to pay an additional $80 fee for late renewal... (it offers this option in the last days before permanent loss).
The best would be to go to a new domain name, I think, close to the old one.
